In alignment with ISO45001, Sime Darby Berhad has established a consistent management approach for reporting, recording, notification and investigation of all safety, plant, property, environmental, regulatory and security incidents in all aspects of operations. 

Health and safety of our employees is always the top priority for the Group. We believe any significant incident occurs after a number of minor incidents or violations. As an initiative to realize our “No Harm” goal,  we keep encouraging our employees to report minor injures or incidents. By investigating into these incidents, we take actions against the identified root causes for continuous improvement to reduce incidents.

To realize our “No Harm” goal, it is important to engage all employees in our safety initiatives to create and enhance safety culture.

Therefore, we introduce Noggin system, a platform designed for reporting and tracking hazards, safety interactions, inspections, audits, incidents, actions and other safety activities. All employees can easily access Noggin on their PCs and smart phones to take part in the entire lifecycle of safety event management and become more aware of the importance of safety in business operations.

To ensure ESH compliance in all operations of Sime Darby Motors China, we engage third parties to conduct audits on all national and provincial ESH-related laws, regulations and national standards (GB) for applicability and compliance. By August 2022, we have reviewed 18798 ESH-related and applicable terms for our business operations across Guangdong, Hunan, Hainan, Yunnan, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Sichuan and Chongqing and achieved 100% compliance.
